I had this brainstorm. When Josef was first diagnosed, the most difficult part for our family was lack of support from families going through the same illness that lived near by! I had Josef's hematologist put me in touch with one other mother from Kaiser who's son had this illness and she introduced me to 2 other moms! Just think of how much more support we could all have if we know of people near us that are fighting this same battle! My hope is that by setting things up this way, people will be able to form local support groups and reach out to "newbies" with the diagnosis of aplastic anemia. Where there are numbers, there is strength!
SO, I talked with my computer genius husband, and he agreed to this website. Now, I need YOUR help to build THIS page! I need families who are dealing with aplastic anemia to be willing to let me share 4 things with others who read this page. 1) The recent age of the person diagnosed. 2) The gender of the person diagnosed. 3) the basic location of where you live {if you only want to share your state rather than your city, etc., that's fine.} 4) The date of diagnosis of Aplastic Anemia. Once I have this type of information I will have the AA patients listed in alphabetical order based off of location. If you also have a website, carepage, etc. that you'd want to share, I can link it to your basic information so that when someone clicks on say "5 year old boy" (which is Josef), they will automatically link to his website! And if you want to, if someone contacts me from your area, looking for other families dealing with AA, with your permission I can give them your email address. (I don't want to list it because you could potentially receive spam.) If this sounds like something you want to do, EMAIL ME! Let's work together to make this rollercoaster-ride-illness easier on EVERYONE struggling with it! Thank you for your help in this way. God bless.
(P.S. For those of you searching for someone to get in touch with in your area, I do have some contact info. that I have permission to give you if you ask. Areas vary.)

*Helpful hints*...
The women will be a shade of dark pink while girls will be light pink.
The men will be a shade of dark blue while boys will be light blue.
Soon, I will have 2 categories: U.S.A. & Other countries. Then the states/provinces will be split up by alphabetical order to make it easier to find someone where you live.
